Catherine Ryan, “One, Kneeling”
Catherine Ryan Artist Statement
Catherine Ryan’s paintings and drawings investigate the relationships and tensions that exist between humans and the natural world. Ryan’s dark observations on life (and death) utilize animals as symbols, while at the same time raising questions about man’s role as predator and consumer.
