Hi Harvey,

This is a picture of my favorite spot back home – the oft-abandoned, pseudo-renovated, eyesore/heart-warmer Michigan Central Station in Detroit. Photographed ad nauseum over the last few years as a symbol of blight and decay, it reminds me of more prosperous days decades ago, and driving past it on a daily basis, dropping my father off at work downtown. Every time I go home, I drive past it and get another angle.

So many photographers take the iconic and familiar shots from the front… but no one ever takes the time, care, or love to get a picture from behind… so here it is.

Thanks and see you soon!
